PRAXIS AT FPC

Praxis meets nearly every Wednesday night at First Presbyterian Church of Spokane from 6:30-8:30PM. You’ll find us just up the stairs and in the main doors from the parking lot. You can expect the usual stuff (great music, meaningful teaching, small groups) and more. Something unusual or crazy awesome typically happens, too.

Together, we are a community of high school students from around Spokane who care about each other, our schools, and our city. But most importantly, we want to move forward in what it means to have a faith in a loving God, who calls us to love our neighbor as ourselves.

EASTER PROJECT

Easter Project is our annual trip to Tijuana, Mexico, where we work alongside locals, students, and friends to build homes and relationships with other members of the Kingdom of God. This week has consistently been a blessing to our students and mission partners, with so many amazing opportunities! If you have an interest in deepening your faith, strengthening friendships, travel, or construction, you should definitely join us!

WESTPORT

Each summer our student leaders spend a week in Westport, WA where we host a VBS for local kids. In addition to the day-to-day service to the Westport community, those who sign up also spend much of the week focused on preparing for the upcoming school year to make Praxis the best it can be for their peers.

SMALL GROUPS

Discipleship (D) Groups

These groups begin mid-November and are comprised loosely of students of the same age, with an adult leader. D Groups meet during Praxis for the rest of the year and are a place to build deeper community, discuss ideas around faith and Jesus, and share openly with one another. These groups meet in a group member’s home once every month, instead of meeting at the church for a regular Praxis.

Sabbath Cards: Resources for Rest

Click here to find activities designed by Praxis students and leaders to help us all remember to slow down, silence the noise, and hear God’s voice of blessing.

OUR VOLUNTEER LEADERS

Our adult volunteer leaders are an integral part of our community. They lead small groups, meet with kids one-on-one, carve out time to come to retreats and mission trips, and help students explore what it means to move forward in their faith in Jesus.

OUR STAFF TEAM

Ministry doesn’t happen alone! We have a great team on staff that runs and supports Praxis week in and week out, and we want to get to know you!
