ADULT MINISTRIES

BEING THE CHURCH TOGETHER THROUGH SMALL GROUPS, INTERGENERATIONAL COMMUNITY & BIBLE STUDY GROUPS

SUNDAYS AFTER WORSHIP

Once a month we have THE GATHERING when we all get together after worship for food and an intergenerational activity. Our intention is to create a sense of belonging for all ages and knowing one another across generations.

On the Sundays in between THE GATHERING …
- Prayground: a place for all ages to engage with God through interactive prayer stations related to our worship theme for the month
- Fellowship Room: a place to linger in conversation with others; coffee, tea and lemonade are served here
- Gym: a place for kids, teens and adults to engage with one another playing yard games
- Fellowship Room: a place to grow in your knowledge of scripture
This fall, Bruce Gore is teaching “Letters from the Apostle of Love” with lessons from 1, 2, 3 John.

WEDNESDAY EVENINGS

On the 1st Wednesday of the month we have Noodle Night. We start with dinner at 6pm. The cost is $5 per adult (kids eat for free). After dinner at 6:30pm: Can I Ask That? (adults & teens), Praxis (high school students), Shift (middle school students), Launch (preschool - 5th grade) and nursery care. Can I Ask That? is a conversation that aims to provide a welcoming space to tackle tricky questions that affect our lives and faith.

The Writings of C.S. Lewis taught by Dr. Gary Watts
C. S. Lewis is considered by many the most important popular Christian writer of the 20th century. Millions of readers continue to love his children's stories and science fiction and to find his theological works inspiring. We will be looking at several of Lewis’s books and also discussing various recurring themes. All are invited—both those who are quite familiar with Lewis’s writing and those who are wanting to jump in for the first time. Our goal during these six weeks together will be to understand how this unique Christian author bore witness to the Gospel and to think about how his witness might influence our own lives. There will also be ample opportunity for questions about books by Lewis you might already have read and about Lewis’s life and thought.

imagine deeper prayer … a Spiritual Formation Cohort led by Brenda Norton
