Women of God Who Shaped History

taught by Bruce Gore

This class will cover the lives and the impact of twelve women who profoundly affected the course of history. Each is a story of courage, adventure, hardship and faith, and each offers a model of Christian spirit and grace. Whether we recognize their names or not, it is safe to say we all live in the ongoing benefit of these women of God who shaped history.

Helena: Mother of Constantine (Sinner to Sainthood), Monica: Mother of Augustine (Stubborn Prayer), Clothilde: Wife of King Clovis (Quiet Certainty), Hildegard: The Preaching Nun (The People’s Preacher), Elizabeth: Queen of Thuringia  (Royal Servant), Renee of Navarre (Safe Haven), Jeanne d’Albret (Godly Politics), Idelette de Bure (Quiet Encourager), Sarah Edwards (Imprint on Generations), Sarah Osborn (Power and humility), Abigail Adams (Quiet Counselor), Gladys Aylward (Unrelenting Love)
