Who we are

We are a non-profit organization comprised of educational professionals and experienced volunteers who are dedicated to walking through the language learning process with students. We strive to foster an environment of safety and belonging for the international community of Spokane. Our teachers use a variety of instructional approaches to match the diverse needs of language learners. We primarily focus on teaching English that adult students will encounter during their daily lives.


Fall 2019 Classes

Monday, Wednesday, Friday

9:15-10:15 One-On-One Conversation: Students meet with native English speakers for an informal time of student-driven conversation.

10:30-11:50 Basic English Conversation: This course looks at English communication in daily life situations. Students will learn the alphabet and basic vocabulary used when talking about self and others. Students will improve their ability to ask questions, make requests, and express opinions.

10:30-11:50 Intermediate English Conversation: This course builds on a foundational understanding of English, and looks at vocabulary related to describing the world and discussing current topics. Students will enhance their ability to discuss current events and express their opinions.

Thursday Evening Course (NEW Fall 2019)

6:30-8:00pm Basic English Conversation: This course looks at English communication in daily life situations. Students will learn the alphabet and basic vocabulary used when talking about self and others. Students will improve their ability to ask questions, make requests, and express opinions.
