Our Mission

Embodying and demonstrating Jesus in fruitful relationship with God and others to the glory of God.

“… thus you shall know them by their fruits.” – Matthew 7:20

John 15:5: I am the vine, you are the branches. Those who abide in me and I in them bear much fruit, because apart from me you can do nothing.

Our Values

Christ Centered - We respond to Christ’s invitation to have all of life transformed by his Gospel.

“I am the Way … “     John 14:6

  • personal life
  • life together
  • others’ lives
  • broader culture

Romans 12:1-2: I appeal to you therefore, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Intergenerational Community - We believe every generation has a gift to give one another.

“One generation commends your works to another … “     Psalm 145:4 (NIV)

  • Invitation - beginning
  • Intentionality - building
  • Faithfulness - remaining

Psalm 145:4 - One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts.

Missional Journey - We speak the Good News and act boldly for compassion, justice and mercy in Christ’s name.

“as the Father sent me, so I send you”     John 20:21

  • in … homes, neighborhoods, schools, workplaces, Spokane, United States, the world
  • especially with those who are … poor, widowed, children, displaced, marginalized, weak, afflicted, etc.

Micah 6:8 - He has told you, O mortal, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?

Living in the Gap - We affirm the sovereignty of God as we live with grace in the tensions between diversity & unity; faith & doubt; mystery & revelation.

“Now I know only in part; then I will know fully, even as I am fully known.”     1 Corinthians 13:12

  • Authentically engaged
  • Already and not yet
  • Wrestling with difficult questions
  • Hope prevails

Ephesians 1:17-18 - I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation as you come to know him,  so that, with the eyes of your heart enlightened, you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance among the saints.

Spirit of Possibility - We trust in the creative leading of the Holy Spirit with the freedom to risk together.

“Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.”     2 Corinthians 3:17

  • Prayer and discernment
  • Openness to change
  • Collaboration
  • Respect for people and process
  • Value giftedness

Philippians 4:8-9 -  Finally, beloved, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is pleasing, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.  Keep on doing the things that you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, and the God of peace will be with you.
