Living Stones of Ibillin (a chapter of the national organization Pilgrims of Ibillin) is sponsoring multiple activities promoting better understanding and peace in the Middle East. Living Stones of Ibillin is dedicated to supporting organizations and individuals committed to achieving peaceful coexistence and mutual respect among Christians, Jews and Muslims. A better understanding of what our Palestinian brothers and sisters in Christ are dealing with on a daily basis is key.
Living Stones focuses primarily on education; we support programs and institutions where young people are given outstanding opportunities to study and grow as well rounded leaders and develop viable job skills.
First Presbyterian has developed a strong relationship with Fr. Elias Chacour’s Mar Elias Educational Institutions in the Galilee area of Israel. The multiple schools spans K -12 and University level training. Mar Elias is open to all faiths and grounded in a commitment to peacemaking and reconciliation.
