We have an exciting and active ministry for grades 4, 5 and 6. According to studies, it’s the second most important developmental stage in human life. Recognizing the opportunity we have to deepen faith in this period of transitional growth and maturation, we have designed a Preteen Ministry to meet these children’s needs.
It’s our desire to provide powerful and memorable experiences of God’s word through a variety of opportunities. Forth graders may learn a Bible story through any of the following Rotation Workshops: drama, art, storytelling, video, science, cooking and more. KLUB 456 meets in the Annex (east wing of lower level) at 10:45 a.m. Fifth and sixth graders have their own program of discussion, Bible Study, and prayer designed to tap into issues important to Preteens and to help them begin to own their faith
Each month grades 4, 5 and 6 get together for a time of fellowship or outreach, rotating between the two. Pepper is an offsite event (just for fun): e.g. roller skating, Big Hair Bowling. Salt is an evening of skits, music, food, games and a biblical message.
Summer Camp — each summer there are opportunities for kids to attend a week at Camp Spalding. Watch for more information on this activity in the spring!
Kids with a Mission (KWAM) — Children entering fifth and sixth grades will love the challenge of participating in this one-week summer local mission project.
