Are you looking for a place to serve with children?
We encourage you to use your gifts in an area of ministry and get involved! We’ll show you how much fun it can be! Your participation enables us to continue offering highly creative programming that will reach out to children, make young disciples, and meet the needs of diverse families. We believe it will enrich your life, as well. The following are some of the possibilities (which are too numerous to list entirely) for getting involved in Children’s Ministry at First Presbyterian Church this year.
King’s Kids (Children’s Worship) Leader (8:45 hour) Work with a team to lead the children’s church activity stations during the 9:15 am Sunday worship service, for one month at a time, 2-3 times per year. Preschool or 1-3rd grade.
Faith Forest – Rotation Leader / Small Group Leader (10:45 hour) Teach a lesson for a rotation workshop for 5 weeks at a time. Children 1st-4th grade will rotate to your room for a lesson in science, drama, art, cooking, Bible knowledge, games, video viewing, Bible math! Curriculum provided. Or be a Small Group leader and use your gifts to help young minds understand the Bible.
Sunday School Team Member (2’s – Kindergarten): 10:00 — 11:10 am each Sunday.
5th & 6th Grade Preteen Sunday School Teacher: 10:00 — 11:10 am each Sunday.
Children’s Ministry Volunteer Appreciation Team—help put together special thank-you items, help plan the fall Date Night and end of the year events to thank all the people who serve our children.
Special Events Team—Do you have creativity and energy? Help plan 3 fun, family events during the year to bring families together! Many people needed!
Parent-Child Education Team—Plan classes and recruit instructors for classes on topics like sex education, worshiping as a family, family dynamics or whatever you see a need for.
Children’s Sermon Team—prepare and give the children’s sermon during the worship services once every two or three months.
Crafts for Kids—Help prepare crafts for kids at one or two events this year.
Music Teams—Can you sing, play guitar, piano or drums? Join a 10:00 music team for kids!
TNL Kid's Art—Do you have a gift in the “arts” (drawing, woodworking, painting, calligraphy, dance, drama, scrapbooking, photography, sculpting, or other art form)? Come teach 1-6th your art. We want to teach kids how to praise the Lord through the arts! Do one time or one month this year.
