Welcome! This area of ministry is for our primary age, 1st - 3rd graders. The curriculum, activities and equipment we use are designed to meet the unique needs of each grade level. We want our children to recognize First Presbyterian as a place where people really love and care for them...a place where they can learn more about Jesus and the Bible...a place where they can make friends, sing, pray, and have lots of fun in a variety of kid-focused activities.
8:45 (During Worship) King's Kids Children's Worship
The 1st - 3rd graders remain in worship until after the children are dismissed to go to King's Kids. They are then led downstairs for a time of learning about the different elements of worship in a way that is age-appropriate and meaningful to them. On the second Sunday of each month they remain in worship with their parents in order to experience in corporate worship the elements they are learning about.
10:00--Faith Forest Rotation Workshops
Each week the 1st - 3rd graders (along with the 4th graders) are accompanied by their leaders to a different workshop in a 5-week rotation system. Workshops include drama, puppets, media production, Bible knowledge, games, video viewing, art and cooking! Each workshop will help them connect more deeply with the Biblical theme for that rotation.
